She became a full-time singer with Gospel Mega-Star Kirk Franklin, where she flowed into the role of being the leader in his premiere sound. Since then she has toured with and lended her background vocals to such artists as: Patti LaBelle, Mary-Mary, Deborah Cox, Tonex, Kim Burrell, Yolanda Adams,Erykah Badu, Fred Hammond, Celine Dion,CeCe Winans,P.J. Morton, Kelly Price, and many more! Although currently working on her solo effort, Candy West is an active member of EMI Gospel Recording Ensemble "Myron Butler & Levi" where she takes lead on the title track "Set Me Free" and "That Place". She is also noted as a songwriter on this EMI release. Not to be slighted in any way, Candy West has a style that is undeniable. And a message that is straight from the heart. Go!
